To the surprise of no one Jeremy Wadsworth of The Blade has won the ONPA Clip Photographer of the Year title for 2022. After fishing in second place four times in five years Wadsworth broke through in convincing fashion this year besting his closest competitor by 780 points.
During the course of the year Wadsworth had 51 wins and finished with 2004 points. Twenty-four of his fifty-one wins placed first and he had wins in all eight categories.
A graduate of Ohio University Wadsworth has worked at The Blade since 1999.
The Blade had four photojournalists place in the top five in the final standings. Isaac Ritchey placed second, Rebecca Benson placed third and Kurt Steiss placed fifth. Andrew Dolph from the Times-Reporter broke up the sweep finishing in fourth place.
