Ohio News Photographers Association
Founded in 1951 by a handful of photographers, ONPA has endured and grown over the years thanks to the many volunteers who stepped forward to serve as officers, contest chairmen, newsletter editors, webmasters, seminar and convention planners.
There have been many changes in both our industry and our organization since 1951. Even our organization’s name is different. At birth the third NPPA chapter was known as the Ohio Press Photographers Association.
The numerous volunteers over the years have made it possible to provide educational opportunities to today’s journalists and nurture those who will follow.
