The judging for the ONPA still contest will be on a Sunday, Feb, 26 beginning at 9 a.m. until all categories have been completed. All single categories will be judged first, followed by story entries and portfolios.
Once again the judging will be done remotely. Members will be able to watch videos of the judging uploaded to the ONPA YouTube channel throughout the day. Results will be posted to all our social media channels as well as the ONPA website at the conclusion of each category.
Judging this year are Sue Morrow, editor of NPPA’s News Photographer magazine and long time editor of many large metros; Jose Carlos Fajardo, Bay Area News Group staffer of 30 years; and, Julio Cortez, AP staffer and recent Pulitzer Prize winner.
Still entries are down about 25% this year and multimedia entries are down significantly more. Multimedia results should be ready for release on Sunday.
