Former ONPA member Haraz Ghanbari, a Perrysburg City councilman, has been named to fill the vacant Ohio 3rd District House seat.
Ghanbari was exposed to ONPA at a young age by his father Ali Ghanbari and the two were fixtures at ONPA seminars and conventions. Haraz enlisted in the Army while in high school and graduated from Kent State University in 2004 pursuing a degree in visual journalism following his enlistment.
After graduation Ghanbari worked for the Associate Press in Washington, D.C. and returned to Ohio in 2012 and served as the director of Military and Veteran Affairs at the University of Toledo.
