All the fires are out, the mangled cars towed and the thrill of victory goes to Marshall Gorby who won the 2009 ONPA Monthly Clip Contest.
There were probably a few sleepless nights for Gorby who had finished second in the competition three times. Chasing Gorby was Eric Albrecht from The Columbus Dispatch, who is no stranger to winning POY titles. Albrecht won 90 points placing first in general news and second in portrait. Gobry also accumulated 90 points taking first in spot news, third and honorable mention in feature.
Gorby will still have a few sleepless nights ahead of him as his is leading the NPPA Region 4 Monthly Clip contest. Goby has a 132 point lead over Matt Detrich from the Indianapolis Star with results from October and December yet to be posted.
Complete results are on the ONPA Website. The winners gallery will be posted as soon as all the photos have been submitted.
