The home is situated in a rural area previously devoid of stable internet connectivity, until Spectrum began offering broadband not long ago. Since almost all of Hayden's school work is done through a Chromebook, the recent improvement has also vastly improved his schooling experience.

Second Place, Photographer of the Year - Small Market - Andrew Dolph / The Times ReporterThe Tuscarawas County Fair continues to be a tradition for residents from Tuscarawas County and beyond since the formation of the county agricultural society in 1849. 10 years later, horses, cattle, sheep and hogs were exhibited, with flowers, needlework, fruits and grain exhibited in the Dover Schoolhouse in an area known as Hayden’s Grove. A year after, an estimated 5,000 people attended over two days. Growing in popularity, a plot of land was purchased, and fairgrounds were established. Ever since, rain or shine, fairgoers have enjoyed the event which today revolves mostly around 4-H culture. —A cowboy participates in bare back riding at the Tuscarawas County Fair.

Tonya would not have been accepted at the local homeless shelter with a dog, and Troy maintained that he had on and off again residency elsewhere and chooses to stay with Tonya when he wants.
