The camp caters to children who were born with congenital limb deformities or have lost limbs. Many new campers start out the week with trepidation as they feel out their campmates. By the end of the week most are enjoying the daily activities with their new friends. Miguel, who lost both his legs lets the friends he has made at Camp Joy play with his wheelchair while he tries to fly under the radar, and stay out of sight during the singing of camp songs.
