The East High School show band is a source of pride for the school and the students' neighborhood. Before home games, the band gets into their uniforms and warms up. Then the band buses over to the original East High School and begins a 20 minute march to the stadium. The march goes through a high crime rate area of town. People come out to watch the band on the street and in front of their homes.
