Police chased the van around eastern Cleveland until it turned onto Catalpa, a dead-end road where the driver, a man that may be their father, fled on foot. Police pursued and tasered the man in a back yard of a home.
Second Place, Spot News over 100,000 - Glenn Hartong / Cincinnati EnquirerLincoln Heights firefighter Marvin Spears slowly reaches towards a cat as it hangs off of the gutter of a two story apartment building at the Valley Homes Apartment on North Leggett Court in Lincoln Heights. Residents called the fire department to rescue the cat that had been up on the roof for several days. Just as firefighter Speqars reach out to the the cat it dropped from the gutter landed on its feet and ran off into a nearby wooded area.

DeCamp / The Columbus DispatchColumbus Police look over the scene of a homicide behind 1300 East Broad Street October 5, 2006 where a male victim had been shot at about 10:30 PM. Police detained 5 people from from a house at 24 North Princeton where witnesses said that the shooter had run to after the crime.

John Lawlah, Sr. was found dead in his home by the fire department around 9:00am.
