After and extended stay in Columbus the annual ONPA convention and workshop is moving to the campus of Kent State University, April 11 – 13. All events will be held at Franklin Hall on campus. The weekends events are free for ONPA members and students.
Events will kick off late Friday afternoon with the judging of the annual still contest. Judging will contine Saturday and continue through the day until that process is completed.
Following the judging there will be portfolio reviews by the judges and other Ohio photojournalists.
On Sunday the workshops will take center stage begining at 9:00 a.m. and should wrap up around 4:30 p.m.
This year’s faculty includes: Sue Ogrocki from the Associated Press, Dave Weathermax from The Herald in Jasper, IN, David Larson from WBFF in Baltimore and David Stephenson, freelance photojournalist and the Photojournalism Adviser for the University of Kentucky’s student newspaper, the Kentucky Kernel.
