Judging of the annual ONPA still contest begins Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at The Columbus Dispatch. Single catagories will be judged first, followed by stories and then portfolios. Results and winning images will be posted throughout the two-day process on the ONPA website. Results of the ONPA Online Photojournalism Contest have already been posted along with links to the winning audio slideshows and videos.

The educational seminar and business meeting will take place on Saturday. Speaking at this year’s seminar will be the 2012 NPPA Ernie Crisp Television News Photographer of the Year Nathan Thompson from WTVF-TV, Nashville, TN. Thompson will be joined by still contest judges Bill Luster, Steve Mellon and Sue Morrow.

There is no cost to OPNA member to attend either the judging or seminar. Anyone wishing to become a member can do so at the door when they arrive.

9:00 a.m. – Eye-Opener: Dispatch Year in Review Slideshow
9:15 a.m.- Steve Mellon, photographer and multimedia producer, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
10:30 a.m. – Break
10:45 a.m. – Sue Morrow, current director of The Kalish Workshop
Noon – ONPA Annual Meeting and Lunch (on your own or pizza if you attend the meeting)
1:45 p.m. – Nathan Thompson, WTVF-TV, Nashville, TN
(with an additional breakout session workshop with Nathan at 3pm)
3:00 p.m. – Break
3:15 p.m. – Bill Luster, retired photojournalist, The Louisville Courier-Journal
4:30 p.m. – Annual ONPA Still Contest Winners Slideshow
