The Buckeye Visualist
The Buckeye Journalist is a new podcast being hosted by ONPA member Lori King who is also the brainchild of this endeavor. The podcast will be featured on the ONPA website and should soon be listed on Apple and Spotify as well as Anchor who is the production platform.
The first episode has recently dropped and proves very timely. Current ONPA president Josh Bickel and incoming president Andrew Dolph dive into their take on the danger of being a photojournalist during Covid, preparing for annual picture contests, and keeping the ONPA a vital resource for professional, student and retired Buckeye photojournalists.
If you have an idea for an episode contact Lori King. King is an adjunct multimedia instructor at the University of Toledo, Wayne State University (Detroit) and Kent State University. She was a photojournalist with the Toledo Blade for 26 years, retiring in August 2021. She is also a retired military journalist, serving 13 years in the U.S. Army and three years in the Air National Guard.
