I am new this year to the organization, but thought there was a monthly magazine. Is that true?
How can I see all the winning images from the monthly clip contest?
The winners from the monthly clip contest can be viewed after all the winners send in a copy of their winning photo. The gallery is not built until all the winners have been received.
First place photos in each category are placed in the text of the results as they are received. The October results were just sent to the winners about 3 days ago so hopefully within two weeks they will be all in.
Winners from all other months can be viewed by clicking on the headline for that particular month or clicking the slideshow link at the end of the results for the month in question.
ONPA has published a quarterly newsletter for a number of years. This blog is an effort to see if we can be bettered served by electronic means.
The printed newsletter cost around $5,000 each year to print and mail. There is minimal cost to producing the blog and it delivers information to members in a much more timely manner.
The ONPA board will decide at a January meeting whether to officially move to the electronic newsletter.
Members attending the convention in April were surveyed and shared their thoughts on the matter then. Now that the blog is up and running officers can decide if this indeed is an option they should act on.
When the idea was proposed it was hoped that the cost savings could be passed along to members with reduced fees for the annual educational seminar.
